A tradition of Precision, Innovation and Quality

Delta Hydraulics offers a wide range of precision engineering services, including design by CAD, machining, boring, honing, grinding, chrome plating, assembly and repair. Delta also has a fully computerised contract control and Quality Assurance system, which allows all processing of contracts to be expedited and the relevant certification supplied with all components.

With a policy of re-investment in improved capital equipment, Delta Hydraulics operates some of the most advanced technology available.

The company is capable of manufacturing a wide range of precision components and assemblies completely in-house. In addition to being a major supplier for power generation, processing, transport and mining industries, Delta Hydraulics is also a supplier to the highly specialised defence industry and has been involved in the development, manufacture, assembly and testing of all hydraulic components for the inboard hydraulic systems on the Type 47I Collins Class Submarine, as used by the Royal Australian Navy. This involved hydraulic manifolds and valving, inboard cylinders and hydraulic pressure intensifiers.

Delta has also been involved in the manufacture, assembly and testing of quick disconnect hydraulic panels for the submarines and repair and overhaul of weapons systems components.

Extensive Machining Capabilities

Delta Hydraulics has extensive machining capabilities with an impressive range of CNC Lathes, CNC Turning Centres, CNC Maching Centres, Manual Lathes and Manual Mills. CNC Turning capacity utilising seven machines machining from 1000mm dia x 3 metres down, with hollow spindle capacity to 520mm.

Machine centres utilising six machines incorporating 4 axis horizontal, 4 axis vertical to 700 x 1200 x 600, and 3 axis vertical machines.

Grinding capacity is second to none with centre grinding to 1000 dia x 7000 long, 3 centreless machines providing from 25-300 dia x 9000 long plus internal grinding to 500 ID x 400 long and surface grinding.

Internal surface finishing is achieved via a state of the art skiving-burnishing machine.

Our vertical hard chrome facility is the largest in Australia. The 9 metre deep vertical tanks and solid state computer controlled rectifiers can handle workpieces up to 9 metres long and provide in process triplex plating.
